This procedure is a newer technique where the implantation of pigment into the skin is pixelated which gives a more transparent color and a more natural look. With this procedure, a large array of colors can be implanted to achieve the desired appearance.
The lip procedure does have downtime because lips are more vascular, so swelling is expected. Also, the color will appear extremely bright until the exfoliation process begins. After the exfoliation process, the color will appear very light. The true color can take up to six weeks to surface.
The micro hairline eyebrow technique is performed on almost every patient. Depending on the condition of the skin a shadow technique may be used as well.
There is little to no downtime with the eyebrow procedure; however, the area surrounding the brows might be a slightly red for a few hours. The color of the brows will appear one to two shades darker immediately after the procedure with a reddish undertone.
A lash enhancement (eyeliner) is applied directly in the lash line for a more natural look. Some patients will desire a thicker application, which can also be achieved. There is very little discomfort and/or downtime with this procedure and patients typically say “it tickles”. A little swelling and redness is normal after the original application. A few days later, a slight exfoliation takes place showing a softer color for both the eyebrow and lash enhancement (eyeliner) procedures.
NOTE: Most of the before and afters below show the lash enhancement and the micro hairline eyebrows together.
Corrective work can be challenging. Patients needing this expertise have to understand the limitations involved in correcting or softening an application regardless of the technique used by a previous provider.
These procedures include a variety of treatments such as the areola complex, scar camouflage and/or revision and scalp re-pigmentation for male and female clients.
