"A unique touch and discerning eye for beauty..."

For Eyebrows, the hair line stroke technique is performed on every patient.  More than one color is used to add depth and dimension.  There is no or little downtime with the eyebrow procedure; the area around the brows might be slightly red for a few hours.

The color of the brows appears one to two shades darker immediately after the procedure.

A few days later, a slight exfoliation takes place showing a softer color.  A touch up application will be required approximately six weeks later.

The hair line stroke is so beautiful and looks to realistic when healed.  As a rule, when the client is seen six weeks later, there is very little to do for the touch up.

Elaine will listen to client's expectations, review any photos, assess the condition of the client's face, and observe the mannerisms of the client's face when she speaks -- then Elaine will communicate her vision to the client.

The Latest Buzz: Micro-Blading
By Elaine Pichet, CPCP

The latest buzz in the permanent cosmetic industry is: Micro Blading.

As a veteran in the industry I feel compelled to inform and educate potential clients and exiting clients about "micro-blading". This is the latest buzz in the industry that has reached social media with all the pictures on Instagram, etc...

Micro-blading is a different method of implanting pigment into the skin. A very sharp bladed hand device is used to perform this procedure. When it is expertly done, it is stunning immediately after. The amount of pigment implanted is minimal and also microscopic creating the effect of real tiny little hairs.

Here is the truth about this "new" technique:

  • It is not considered permanent; it is semi-permanent.

  • It needs to be completely re-done every 12 months or so and it will be a full price procedure every time that you get it done since there is nothing left.

  • It is usually only recommended for younger skin and preferably a thicker skin type.

  • If your outcome of a previous permanent eyebrow procedure was not satisfactory and is in desperate need of corrective work, micro-blading is not an option.

  • It is a great option if you are not sure if you want to get permanent cosmetics and want to keep up with them.

  • You have to make sure that you go to a professional that has the know how and expertise; if this procedure is not done properly, you can end up with scarring since a blade is used to implant the pigment and that the appropriate color is selected for your skin type.

Having performed permanent cosmetics for almost 20 years, I am really excited that there is this "new" option for much younger clients. The difference between what I do and micro-blading is slightly different. I do use a coil machine to implant the pigment and I do a beautiful micro hair line stroke; the result is beautiful and extremely realistic and it is permanent.

All permanent makeup will fade over time; it needs to be kept up. It is an investment in yourself and will always be wonderful if you come in to do your touch ups in a timely manner. Eyebrows, in particular, fade the quickest. Also, the left side will always fade faster due to the additional exposure one gets from driving.

It is a great joy and a privilege to offer my services to women and sharing information is paramount when it comes to this industry. We are always willing to answer questions) and/or concerns) regarding permanent cosmetics.

However, the pictures you see on this website are NOT micro-blading.  They are permanent makeup eyebrows with a micro hairline stroke.

The field of permanent cosmetics is not a regulated industry in the State of Arizona. There are many providers offering this service that are not credentialed. As per the HB 2666-441-H, it is unlawful for a person to engage in the business of tattooing out of a home. Make sure you research your provider. The two national organizations offering certifications are the American Academy of Micropigmentation (A.A.M.) and the Society of Permanent Makeup Professionals (S.P.C.P.). In order to keep their credentials, providers must obtain a certain amount of continuing education credits every year.
